Peter C. Newton-Evans was born in Paraguay, raised in the United States, and has spent his adult life in Ecuador, where he lives with his wife and children. He studied educational psychology in the Catholic Univ. of Ecuador, took a masters degree in education at the Univ. of California, and has postgraduate studies in anthropology, social development and administration.
As an educator, Peter has been a textbook writer-editor, teacher trainer, school principal, and college professor. He spearheaded the ground-breaking Culture of Peace Program in Ecuador, focused on training agents of social change towards a culture of peace, which includes research, writing, teaching, and public speaking.
